How long have you been writing stories?

• I’ve always found story writing enjoyable. I started out writing fanfiction for Harry Potter (mainly for myself) and just evolved into writing other stories now. So it’s probably been about…10 years at least?

How do you come up with these stories/where do you get your inspiration?

• I tend to take things that are happening in my life and develop them into stories. Many times they are over exaggerated and just where my mind takes me, but that’s the basis of them. Life inspires me.

Why are there no names in your stories?

• Have you ever read a story and come across a name of a person you know? I think everyone has. And sometimes if it’s a person we know well enough, that’s who you envision while reading the story. So by not adding names to the story, I can’t influence who you see. Maybe as you read you realize it reminds you of your next door neighbor by the character’s personality and not the name. This can create a more personal connection to the story in my own opinion.

Do you plan to make a career out of writing?

• Yes/no. Currently I’m a graphic design student, but my love for writing and reading is quite powerful. I’d love to be able to use my artistic skills and become a book cover designer, as well as being able to illustrate and write my own books one day. Writing has always been somewhat of a hobby for me, but I’ve always dreamed of seeing my name printed on a book at Barnes & Noble.
